On Valentine’s Day in the year 2000, little did my wife and I know that we would be blessed with the birth of our 1st girl but that it would change our lives forever from that day forward for the better.
Zoe was born with a rare chromosomal deletion and therefore she would have many medical, physical and mental challenges that she needed to live with or overcome throughout her 21 years and counting of life.
During those 21 years, Zoe has taught us many wonderful lessons. For me as her father, she has taught me to focus on what it possible and that what is possible is different for everyone. Also, we should focus on the wins no matter how big or small and celebrate along the way without judgement. She has taught me that caring for, assisting, and supporting another human being is so rewarding.
Over the years, I have come to realize that the same way my wife and I have successfully raised our daughter is the same way I have come to treat my clients, co-workers and business associates. It is a method that works!
So, at Top Hat, we will always live by the motto that caring for, supporting, and assisting others is what we do and by doing that we will never fail, we will always succeed.
